Miguel Pinto Luz is a Portuguese academic and political figure. He currently serves as Minister of Infrastructure and Housing (2024-04-02 to 2025-06-05). He holds a degree in Electrotechnical Engineering and Computers from Instituto Superior Técnico and an MBA from AESE Business School/IESE. Academically, he has served as a Researcher at INESC-ID Information Systems Group and a Guest Lecturer at Nova School of Business and Economics and Instituto Superior Técnico. His career includes leadership roles in academia, local government, and non-profit sectors, including Vice Mayor of Cascais and President of SEDES Lisboa. He has also held positions in multiple companies and agencies within Portugal's municipal sector.
His professional background spans engineering, business administration, and public policy. He has contributed to infrastructure development, urban management, and community initiatives. As a member of the Social Democratic Party, he currently serves as Vice-President and has held various national and regional roles within the party since the early 2000s.
