Mieko Kanno is a Professor of Artistic Research at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki. Previously, she held positions at Durham University (2001–2012) and the Royal Scottish Conservatoire (2013–2016), establishing herself as a leading performer and researcher in contemporary violin music.
