Gilles Colliard (b. 1967) is a Professor at The European Graduate School / EGS, renowned as a violinist, composer, conductor, and educator. He holds a 'Premier Prix de virtuosité' from the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique and has performed globally with orchestras such as the London Soloist Chamber Orchestra and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. He has led the Toulouse Chamber Orchestra and Barcelona Baroque Orchestra, and founded the Amarcordes Ensemble with Michel Kiener.
- Artistic Director of Toulouse Conservatory's Early Music Department (2001–2009).
- Conducted operas including Monteverdi’s 'Orfeo' and Jean Gilles’ Requiem.
His research and performance focus on Baroque music, blending historical performance practices with modern compositions. Colliard has composed over 60 works, including operas like 'Le Mal des Ardents' and orchestral pieces such as 'Les saisons suisses'.
He authored two seminal essays: Musique baroque en 25 chapitres and Vivaldi, l’Abécédaire, and directed festivals such as Puymory and 'Musique au cœur des moulins'.
