Mickey Thomas Terry, Ph.D., serves as a Master Instructor in Howard University's Department of Music within the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts, teaching Blacks in the Arts, Applied Organ Instruction, and acting as Howard Concert Choir Accompanist. A nationally recognized organ virtuoso, he specializes in African-American classical composers' organ works.

Dr. Terry's research establishes him as the leading authority on African-American organ music, focusing on performance practices, historical context, and pedagogical frameworks. His expertise bridges organ performance, African-American musicology, and choral traditions, manifested through editorial work on the African-American Organ Music Anthology and publications in The American Organist Magazine and The Diapason.
