Mick van Eijs

Mick van Eijs is a PhD candidate in onco-immunology at the UNICIT research program within UMC Utrecht. His work focuses on immune checkpoint inhibition, the gut microbiome's role in cancer treatment, and the dynamics of immune-related adverse events.

His research explores the interplay between immunosuppressants, corticosteroids, and the efficacy of checkpoint inhibitors in melanoma. He investigates how peripheral blood T and B cell responses relate to toxicity outcomes and contributes to understanding the clinical and translational aspects of immune-related adverse events.
