Michelle Scott (Anaatsa'poopaki, Pretty Plume Woman) is an Assistant Professor (Teaching) and Associate Dean, Indigenous Education in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary. A proud L’nu (Mi’kmaw) and Irish/English academic, she advocates for centering Indigenous voices and ways of knowing within Western academia.

Professional Contributions: Previously served as Director of Indigenous Initiatives at both the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Nursing and St Mary’s University (Calgary), spanning over 8 years. She has dedicated her career to integrating Indigenous knowledge systems into institutional frameworks.
