Michelle Samuel

Michelle Samuel is a guest researcher at Utrecht University, with primary academic appointments as an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Epidemiology at Drexel University (USA) and an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Dalhousie University (Canada). She is trained as an epidemiologist at McGill University.

Research interests: Dr. Samuel focuses on pharmacologic and invasive procedures, such as catheter ablation, for treating cardiac arrhythmias, including ventricular tachycardias and atrial fibrillation. Her work bridges epidemiology, clinical pharmacology, and cardiovascular medicine.

Editorial and Committee Roles: She serves as statistical editor for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC): Clinical Electrophysiology and JACC: Heart Failure, and as associate editor for the Canadian Journal of Cardiology. She is a member of the Clinical Guidelines Committee for the Heart Rhythm Society (USA) and the Scientific Documents Committee of the European Heart Rhythm Association.
