Dr. Michelle M. Lobchuk serves as Associate Professor and Manitoba Health Research Council Research Chair in Caregiver Communication at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Nursing. She maintains active research affiliations with CancerCare Manitoba, Victoria General Hospital, Manitoba Centre for Nursing and Health Research, Riverview Health Centre, and the Centre of Aging.

Research Focus
Her theory-driven program develops video-recorded interventions to enhance family caregivers' empathic communication regarding symptom management, treatment decisions, and goal setting for chronically ill patients. With primary applications in lung cancer and urinary incontinence care, her work addresses critical gaps in evidence-based support for caregivers of aging and disabled populations through multidisciplinary collaboration.
