Michelle L. Damiani

Michelle L. Damiani is an Assistant Professor in the College of Education at Rowan University. She holds a PhD in Special Education and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Disability Studies from Syracuse University. Her research applies disability studies frameworks to examine teacher workforce diversity and develop sustainable international inclusive education models.

Research Focus: Investigates disability as an aspect of diversity influencing school structures, pedagogical approaches, and inclusive practices. Current projects emphasize culturally relevant capacity-building for inclusive education across global contexts, particularly in underserved regions.

Professional Background: Former elementary special education teacher and new teacher mentor.
