Dr. Michelle L Woodbury is an Associate Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in the College of Health Professions, Department of Health Sciences and Research. She holds dual roles as Director of the Upper Extremity Motor Function Laboratory and serves on the Research Council. Her academic career spans over three decades, with notable roles at institutions including the University of Florida and the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center.

Research Interests: Dr. Woodbury’s work focuses on optimizing stroke rehabilitation through advanced technologies like telerehabilitation and virtual reality. Key areas include upper extremity motor recovery, measurement-based intervention design, and patient-specific rehabilitation strategies. Her lab develops tools such as the Duck Duck Punch rehabilitation game and TheraBracelet neuromodulation devices. She emphasizes bridging clinical practice with neuroscientific principles to enhance recovery outcomes.
