Michelle Gillitzer, DNP, is an Assistant Professor of Instruction and Interim Director of the Primary Care Adult/Gero Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Iowa's College of Nursing. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), both from the University of Iowa. Her research focuses on holistic nursing care for aging populations, dementia care, and integrating geriatric and psychiatric mental health practices in primary care settings. She is actively involved in advancing nurse practitioner education and clinical practice through program leadership and instructional roles.
