Emily Griffin is an Assistant Professor of Instruction (Instructional) at the University of Iowa's College of Nursing, where she teaches in the undergraduate pre-licensure program. Previously, she was part of faculty practice at the College of Nursing, combining clinical practice with teaching roles. She holds a DNP from the University of Iowa (2022), an MSN in Family Nurse Practitioner from Montana State University (2000), and a BSN from Valparaiso University (1995).
Her research interests focus on family health, gerontology, pain management, health promotion/wellness, and mental health resilience. Prior to academia, she practiced as a family nurse practitioner in pain management, neurology, and primary care settings since 2000.
