Michelle Geoffrion-Vinci

Michelle Geoffrion-Vinci is a Professor of Spanish at Lafayette College, specializing in contemporary Spanish literature and language-teaching methodologies. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from Stanford University and a B.A. (cum laude) from Wellesley College. Her research focuses on Spanish women writers, including 19th-century poet Rosalía de Castro and contemporary author Cristina Fernández Cubas. She has authored books, co-authored textbooks, and published articles on heritage language education and electronic portfolios. She has received prestigious awards such as the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching and the AATSP Teacher of the Year Award (University Level).

Her recent projects include an edited and translated collection of Fernández Cubas’ short stories, scheduled for 2023. She collaborates with institutions like Fairleigh Dickinson University Press and Virginia Tech.
