Michelle Gagliano is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Communication Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her creative practice focuses on environmental art, installation, and sculpture, with recent exhibitions including Material/Mater/Mother (Charlottesville, VA, 2025), Les Yeux du Monde, and A Casa (2024).
Her research explores intersections of art, sustainability, and materiality, often addressing ecological themes through tactile and conceptual frameworks. She actively contributes to the Gallery Climate Coalition as a 2024 member.
