Michelle DiGiacomo is Associate Professor at University of Technology Sydney's IMPACCT research center within the Faculty of Health. Her program examines contexts of chronic/life-limiting conditions, focusing on unpaid carers' financial burdens, health service navigation, wellbeing challenges, and cultural accessibility. As Course Director for postgraduate palliative care, she leads multidisciplinary health education.
Research themes include:

- Carer-health system interfaces
- Health transitions and wellbeing
- Equity-focused service design
- Culturally responsive care models
With over 130 publications, her work advances care for marginalized populations including Aboriginal communities and culturally diverse groups. She serves as Associate Editor for BMC Health Services Research.
