Michelle Crawley

Michele Crawley is a Lecturer in the Accounting, Finance and Banking Department at the Business School of Manchester Metropolitan University. She transitioned from a 12-year finance industry career to academia in 2020, completing her PGCLTHE (Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education) in 2022.

Her professional background includes roles such as Treasury Analyst, Treasury and Corporate Finance Manager, and Head of Corporate Finance at Kier Highways Limited. Her research and teaching focus on financial accounting, financial reporting, corporate finance, and auditing, with a strong emphasis on enhancing students' employability and supporting their wellbeing.

In 2022, she was shortlisted for The Union Teaching Awards in two categories: Outstanding Teaching for Employability and Outstanding Commitment to Student Wellbeing and Support.
