Michelle Bowers is a Professor and Co-Chairperson at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth's College of Visual & Performing Arts. She is an interdisciplinary designer, artist, and educator with expertise in blending handmade and digital processes, particularly in lettering and collage work.

Bowers' research focuses on merging human narratives with graphic elements to create intricate, symbolic imagery. She collaborates with arts, academic, and non-profit organizations to produce impactful campaigns and publications. Her work has been featured in national and international exhibitions.
