Michele Harrison

Dr. Michele Harrison is an Associate Clinical Fellow at Manchester Metropolitan University's Faculty of Health and Education, working part-time one day per week. She serves as Professional Lead for the MSc pre-registration Occupational Therapy programme while concurrently holding the position of interim Head of Allied Health Professionals at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Her academic qualifications include:

• Professional Doctorate in Health and Social Sciences from Queen Margaret University (2019)
• MA Community Mental Health from University of Birmingham (2003)
• Diploma of the College of Occupational Therapists from Derby School of Occupational Therapy (1990)

Dr. Harrison's research focuses on environmental factors affecting participation for people with complex health needs, rehabilitation pathway design, and evidence-informed practice development. Her work examines how living environments impact recovery processes and identity formation in mental health contexts.
