Michel Rouleau-Dick serves as a Research Fellow at Umeå University's Department of Law, based at Samhällsvetarhuset (Social Sciences Building), and maintains an active affiliation with the Centre for Transdiciplinary AI Research. His institutional presence bridges legal scholarship and emerging AI methodologies within Sweden's academic landscape.
Research focuses on the critical intersection of Artificial Intelligence and legal frameworks, with specialized attention to artistic applications through the UmArts initiative. This work examines regulatory challenges in AI-generated art, intellectual property implications, and ethical governance models for creative technologies. His interdisciplinary approach integrates computational methods with jurisprudence to address real-world policy gaps.
Rouleau-Dick contributes to the Centre for Transdiciplinary AI Research's mission of fostering cross-domain collaborations, particularly between computational sciences and humanities disciplines.
