Michał Kędra

Michał Kędra is a Researcher at the Department of General Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL). His work bridges experimental and applied psychology with a focus on real-world behavioral outcomes.

His research spans Personality psychology, Sports psychology, Emotions and motivations, and Psychometrics. Key investigations examine how positive orientation influences athletic performance (particularly in marathons) and the efficacy of prosocial behavior interventions using randomized controlled trials. His psychometric work develops tools like the Efforts for Charity Index (ECI) to quantify altruistic tendencies.

Recent publications (2020-2024) reveal three dominant trends: (1) Sports psychology applications for recreational athletes, (2) Prosocial behavior mechanisms in lab and real-world settings, and (3) Health psychology intersections with nutrition/sleep post-pandemic.
