Dr. Michalkó Gábor is a Professor at the University of Pannonia and leads the Doctoral School of Business and Organizational Sciences (GSDI). He is affiliated with the Department of Tourism and actively contributes to research and leadership in tourism-related disciplines.

- Habilitated Doctor (dr. habil, 2006)
- Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (DSc, 2009)
His research focuses on Tourism Theory, Geography, and Management, alongside Science Management. He has supervised multiple OTKA projects and serves as President of the Tourism Bulletin editorial board, the Hungarian Geographical Society's Supervisory Committee, and the NKFIH Complex Environmental Science Collegium.
Scientific awards include the Bolyai János Research Scholarship. He is involved in the Balatoni Tourist Research Institute and Marketing Focus Lab collaborations.
