معرفی
Michal Pawlak is a Postdoctoral fellow and Project manager in the Astrophysics division at Lund University's Department of Physics. His research focuses on stellar astrophysics, particularly binary star systems, metallicity effects on stellar evolution, and variable stars. He is actively involved in several major international collaborations including the Binarity at LOw Metallicity (BLOeM) project and VELOcities of CEpheids (VELOCE) survey.
His research interests span multiple areas of stellar astrophysics, with particular expertise in radial velocity measurements, binary star systems in low-metallicity environments like the Small Magellanic Cloud, and the study of variable stars including Cepheids and Mira variables. His work connects observational data from major missions like Gaia with theoretical models of stellar evolution.
Analysis of his recent publications reveals a strong focus on binary stars in low-metallicity environments, precision radial velocity measurements of variable stars, and the discovery of compact objects. His work bridges observational astronomy with theoretical astrophysics, contributing significantly to our understanding of stellar evolution across different metallicity regimes.
Dr. Pawlak has established collaborations across numerous international institutions, as evidenced by his co-authorships on papers involving researchers from multiple countries. His work on the Small Magellanic Cloud provides crucial insights into stellar evolution in environments resembling the early universe.
