Michal Molcho is a Professor of Sociology of Health and Head of the School of Education at the National University of Ireland, Galway. She founded the interdisciplinary Children's Studies discipline and previously served as Vice Dean for Research and Vice Dean for Internationalisation. She directs the MSc in Adolescent Health program and coordinates the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Promotion.

Her research focuses on adolescent health behavior, peer violence, cyberbullying, health inequalities, and childhood cancer survivorship. Her recent publications emphasize cross-national analyses of adolescent violence trends, impacts of school closures on peer interactions, and crisis recovery strategies for child health. She supervises multiple postgraduate researchers and contributes to SDGs related to health and education.
Active in networks like HBSC and HPRC, she works on violence prevention policy through roles such as WHO consultant and steering committee member for Irish Child Safety Alliance.
