Dr. Martha Michailidou is an Associate Professor in Media Research Methods at the Department of Communications, Media and Culture, Panteion University in Athens. She has held academic roles at Goldsmiths College, University of London, and the University of Crete. Her research focuses on feminist methodologies, digital media transitions, and the cultural and creative industries. She has contributed to 11 EU-funded research projects and co-founded the CID-CCS Lab (Cultural Informatics, Data and Computational Cultural Studies Lab). Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with empirical studies on gender dynamics in digital labor, cultural policy, and virtual work environments.
