Michaela Wirsig

Michaela Wirsig is an Artistic-technical teacher in the textile printing and dyeing workshop within the Design Department at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart. Her career spans over three decades, with prior teaching assignments at HdK Berlin (now Berlin University of the Arts).

• Education: Diploma in Textile Design from the University of Applied Sciences for Art and Design Hannover.

Her research focuses on artistic and technical aspects of textile design, particularly fabric printing and dyeing techniques, surface design, and textile art. She combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design approaches.

• Workshops: Active involvement in the Textile Printing and Dyeing Workshop at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart.
