Michael Zaworotko is Bernal Chair of Crystal Engineering and Science Foundation of Ireland Research Professor at the University of Limerick. He serves as co-director of the Synthesis and Solid-State Pharmaceutical Centre (SSPC), leading research in metal-organic frameworks, crystal engineering, and separation materials.
His work focuses on designing functional materials for gas separation, water harvesting, and pharmaceutical applications. Recent publications demonstrate advances in ultramicroporous materials, recyclable catalysis reactors, and targeted drug delivery systems.
