Michael Weinstock, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery specializing in Otolaryngology at Yale School of Medicine. He serves as Co-director of the Cochlear Implant Team in Pediatric Otolaryngology, Director of the Pediatric Resident Elective with Pediatric Otolaryngology, and Director of the Otolaryngology Sub-Internship.
Dr. Weinstock is board-certified in Pediatric Otolaryngology (2023) and Otolaryngology (2021). He completed his Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship at Children's Hospital Pittsburgh of UPMC (2020) and residency at Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center (2019). He earned his MD from New York University School of Medicine (2014), MSEd in Teaching from Pace University (2010), and BA in Chemistry and Political Science from Emory University (2008).
His clinical expertise includes pediatric hearing loss, ear infections, sinus disease, congenital neck masses, airway disorders, and sleep apnea. Dr. Weinstock emphasizes the importance of quality sleep for developing minds and treats each child as if they were his own. His research spans medical education, hearing loss, and sinus disease, with publications from 2018-2023 covering tonsillectomy outcomes, aerosol transmission during ENT procedures, and complex airway conditions.
Dr. Weinstock actively contributes to multiple national organizations and Yale clinical teams including the Vascular Anomalies Team and the Trisomy 21 clinic. His work with the Pediatric Cochlear Implant program demonstrates his commitment to restoring hearing and improving quality of life for children.
