Michael Vincent serves as a Lecturer in Philosophy within the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry at The University of Queensland, specializing in ethical and political philosophy with cross-disciplinary applications.
His research centers on two interconnected domains:
- Public Reason Theory: Examining how societal institutions and conventions can achieve justifiability across diverse populations amid environmental crises, globalization, and social media transformations
- Lessons of Moral Psychology: Re-establishing critical dialogue between moral philosophy and empirical moral psychology to advance both disciplines
