Michael Stumvoll

Prof. Dr. med. Michael Stumvoll is the Clinical Programme Director of the Helmholtz Institute for Metabolic, Obesity and Vascular Research (HI-MAG) and Professor of Medicine at the University of Leipzig Medical Centre. He serves as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Director of the Divisions of Endocrinology, Nephrology & Rheumatology. His work bridges basic research from Helmholtz Munich with clinical expertise at Leipzig University Medical Centre, focusing on metabolic diseases like obesity and type 2 diabetes through translational approaches.
