Michael Seto is an Adjunct Research Professor at Carleton University, affiliated with the Department of Psychology within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from Queen's University. His research focuses on paraphilias, sexual offending, and the psychological assessment of mentally disordered offenders. His work bridges clinical psychology, forensic psychology, and criminal justice systems.
Dr. Seto's research explores the etiology, assessment, and management of sexual offenders, with an emphasis on understanding the psychological underpinnings of paraphilic disorders. His contributions include studies on risk assessment tools, treatment efficacy, and the integration of clinical and legal perspectives in forensic psychology.
