معرفی
Michael Rubinstein is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Digestive Diseases and Internal Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. His research focuses on neuroendocrinology, molecular biology, and genetic mechanisms underlying obesity, hypothalamic regulation, and dopamine receptor function. He has contributed to studies on human accelerated regions in gene evolution, hypothalamic POMC regulation, and dopamine receptor effects in behavior and physiology.
Education: MD from Stony Brook University (1989).
Research Interests:
- Gene expression regulation in neuroendocrine pathways
- Molecular mechanisms of obesity and food intake control
- Evolutionary genomics of human-specific traits
- Dopamine receptor signaling in behavior and metabolism
Recent publications highlight his work on human accelerated regions (HAR202), Six3 transcription factors, and tripartite enhancer clusters controlling POMC expression.
