Michael Rosen is the Senator Joseph S. Clark Professor of Ethics in Politics and Government at Harvard University. His research covers 19th-20th century European philosophy, political theory, and German idealism, with special focus on Hegel, Marx, and Adorno. He teaches courses on political philosophy, Rawlsian theory, and the intersection of ethics and governance.
His work addresses foundational questions about human dignity, political legitimacy, and liberal democracy. Recent publications examine the ethical dimensions of political systems and historical transformations in philosophical thought.
