Professor Michael Power is a distinguished academic in the Department of Accounting at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he has worked since 1987. He holds a Professorial title and specializes in accounting, risk management, auditing, and organizational theory. His research explores the intersections of regulation, accountability, and organizational processes, with notable works including *The Audit Society* (1997) and *Riskwork* (2016).
Power is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Risk Management. He has held roles in corporate governance, including board memberships at St James’s Place plc and RIT Capital Partners, and directed the Centre for Analysis of Risk and Regulation at LSE until 2014.
