Michael Poirier is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physics at The Ohio State University. His research focuses on understanding chromatin structure and dynamics, DNA repair mechanisms, and the interplay between histone modifications and gene regulation. He employs interdisciplinary techniques including biochemical assays, single-molecule biophysics (e.g., magnetic tweezers, FRET), and DNA nanotechnology.
