Michael Pierre Johnson is a post-doctoral design researcher at The Glasgow School of Art, specializing in ethnographic research and design-led approaches to product, digital, service, and organizational innovation since completing his PhD through the AHRC-funded Design in Action hub in 2016.
His research focuses on making the effects and viability of Design Innovation approaches explicit within complex collaborative contexts through visual mapping methods. Key areas include:

Dr Johnson received the AHRC Innovation Leadership Fellowship in the Creative Economy in January 2019 for his work in collaborative creative engagement, advancing methodologies for visualizing systemic change in innovation projects.
