Michael Moore

Michael Moore is a Lecturer in Optometry at the School of Physics, Clinical and Optometric Sciences, Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin). He serves as a researcher at the Centre for Eye Research Ireland and holds a Board Member position at CORU's Optical Registration Board. His academic career at TU Dublin began with a part-time lecturing role in 2014, transitioning to full-time in 2018 following his PhD completion.

His 11 publications (2012-2025) reveal a dominant focus on myopia research, including progression dynamics in children and adults, myopia control contact lens adoption, and big data applications for refractive error epidemiology. The REVIEWS study series demonstrates innovative use of spectacle lens sales data for population-level vision impairment risk assessment.
