University of Connecticutمعرفی
Michael Lynes is a Professor at the University of Connecticut in the departments of Molecular and Cell Biology, Cell and Developmental Biology, and Genetics and Genomics. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina and leads research at the Lynes Lab.
Research Interests: Dr. Lynes investigates the genetic and biochemical regulation of lymphocyte activation in stressed immune systems, environmental toxicants' role in immune diseases, metallothionein-mediated immunotoxicity mechanisms, chemotactic cell movement, and multiplexed microarray platforms for cell/protein detection.
Publication Trends: Recent work focuses on metallothionein's dual roles in immune regulation and disease (e.g., Type 1 diabetes, colitis), biosensor development for diagnostics (e.g., MIS-C, COVID-19 biomarkers), and microbial stress responses in pathogens like Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Collaborations span immunology, toxicology, and biomedical engineering.
