Lundholm's research focuses on labor economics, public economics, and econometrics. His current research projects examine work norms, peer pressure, and the evolution of efficiency (with Sten Nyberg and Montasser Ghachem), and gender differences in the labor market as a matter of social and economic class (with Mahmood Arai, Emma von Essen and Jonatan Riberth). His work often addresses questions related to taxation, government employment, childcare policy, and social norms.
His publications span from 1992 to 2011, showing a consistent interest in theoretical and empirical questions related to public economics, labor markets, and family economics. The research demonstrates methodological diversity ranging from theoretical modeling to empirical analysis and econometric methodology development.
