Michael Leavitt

Dr. Michael Leavitt serves as a Lecturer and Physiotherapy Program Leader at Edinburgh Napier University's School of Health and Social Care. He holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (2010) and specializes in rehabilitative neurology with 14+ years of clinical experience. His academic roles include Director of Studies for three postgraduate candidates and module leadership in physiotherapy.

Research interests focus on neurotrauma rehabilitation, including concussion management, degenerative diseases, and sports-related head injuries. Current projects investigate youth repetitive head injuries in contact sports and secondary prevention for Huntington's Disease. His work emphasizes clinical outcomes and rehabilitation protocols.
