Michael LaCava is a Per Course Instructor at Adams School of Music and the Arts with over 30 years of experience in Massachusetts public education administration and music instruction.
He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Master of Education in Leadership & Management from Fitchburg State University. His career includes serving as Director of Music and Band Director in Gardner, MA (where ensembles earned Superior Ratings at state festivals); Fine and Performing Arts Coordinator overseeing district-wide programs in Chelmsford; Principal of Harrington Elementary School; and currently K-12 Director of Performing Arts in Wellesley Public Schools.
Mr. LaCava's professional expertise centers on music education leadership, K-12 performing arts program development, and educational administration, with significant contributions to curriculum design and program evaluation across music, drama, and dance disciplines.
