Michael L. Williams

Michael L. Williams is a Professor and Director of the School of Nursing at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), effective July 2022. Previously, he served as Director of the School of Nursing at Eastern Michigan University for 10 years and as an Associate Professor there for 15 years. He has maintained CCRN (Critical Care Nursing) certification since 1986 and holds CNE (Clinical Nurse Educator) certification.

Awards & Affiliations: Recipient of the AACN Mentoring Award and AACN Education Award. Served as Past President of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and currently holds roles in the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation and California Association of Colleges of Nursing.

Professional Roles: Oversees the School of Nursing at CSULB, leading academic and clinical programs. His leadership spans over three decades in nursing education and administration.
