Michael Kaplan

Michael Kaplan is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Child Study Center, Yale School of Medicine, Yale University. He holds board certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), originally certified in 1996.

Education:

• MD from Cornell University, 1989

Research Interests: Focuses on neonatal care interventions, particularly Extended Traditional Holding (TH) and Skin-to-Skin Care (SSC) for low-birth-weight infants. Collaborates frequently with Linda Mayes, MD and others on studies involving premature infants and developmental outcomes.

Professional Affiliations: Active in the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Training Program and contributes to interdisciplinary research within the Child Study Center.
