Michael J. Sale serves as the Associate Dean of the Leo J. Meehan School of Business, Chair of Management & Business Analytics, and Program Director for the Management Information Systems and Data Analytics Minor at Stonehill College. He joined Stonehill in 2007 as a part-time faculty member and was appointed to the full-time faculty in 2014.
Dr. Sale's educational background includes:
- Doctor of Professional Studies in Computing, Pace University, NY
- Master of Science in Management, Bridgewater State College, MA
- Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems, Bridgewater State College, MA
His research focuses primarily on legacy software maintenance practices. Additionally, he has published in information technology auditing in higher education, big data and machine learning algorithms, and the application of Agile and Scrum software engineering methodologies in academic research and teaching.
Dr. Sale's scientific recognition includes:
- SAS Distinguished Educator (2023)
He has advised numerous student research projects and independent studies covering biometrics, technology and pedagogy, and botnet propagation models. Dr. Sale also serves as an advisor for the Distributed Education Clubs of America (DECA) and maintains active professional memberships in the Academy of Management, Agile Alliance, American Statistical Association, Association for Computing Machinery, and Decision Sciences Institute.
