Michael Harralson is an Adjunct Professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. He concurrently serves as Chief Trial Judge for the Lower Sioux Indian Community, Deputy Judge for the Leech Lakes Band of Ojibwe, and Associate Justice for the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Supreme Court. Previously, he conducted fair hearings as a Human Services Judge for the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
His academic focus centers on Administrative Law, with extensions into Indigenous Justice systems and Tribal Law governance, reflecting his judicial expertise in tribal jurisdictions.
Beyond academia, he founded ReNew Earth Running, a nonprofit leveraging running initiatives to fundraise for Indigenous land stewardship. He also contributed to Minnesota's civic identity as a commissioner on the State Emblems Redesign Committee, selecting the new state flag and seal.
