Michael H. Sampson

Michael H. Sampson, Esq. is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and currently serves as Senior Director of Legal Affairs and Risk Management at Symphony Risk Solutions. He leads Symphony Solve and advises across insurance recovery, cannabis industry legal challenges, and risk mitigation strategies.

His expertise spans policyholder advocacy, insurance coverage disputes, and cannabis industry legal frameworks. Sampson previously led Reed Smith LLP’s cannabis practice and contributed to their Insurance Recovery Group. He advises plant-touching and ancillary cannabis businesses on regulatory and coverage issues, alongside handling breach-of-contract and bad-faith litigation.
