Michael Guglielmo

Michael Guglielmo is an Assistant Professor and Co-Program Chair of the MS in Counseling Program at National Louis University, where he has taught for 14 years. He holds a PsyD in Psychology from California Southern University, an MS in Human Services/Counseling from National Louis University, and a BA in Sociology-Criminology from Northern Illinois University.

His expertise spans clinical counseling, cognitive behavioral treatment for depression and anxiety, stress-related disorders, substance abuse, and domestic violence. He specializes in couples therapy, men’s relationship recovery, and integrating exercise with cognitive behavioral methods to enhance emotional wellness. Dr. Guglielmo is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), with over 25 years of clinical experience. He is affiliated with the American Counseling Association, American Mental Health Counseling Association, and several state-level counseling organizations.

As an educator, he is known for his holistic teaching style and innovative approaches to tailoring therapeutic interventions. His clinical practice emphasizes solution-focused strategies, client empowerment, and lifestyle balance.
