Michael Goodyear

Michael Goodyear is an Acting Assistant Professor at the New York University School of Law. He holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and an A.B. in History and Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations from the University of Chicago. His research focuses on intellectual property law, particularly copyrights, trademarks, and the intersection of law and technology in the digital age. Michael is a Fellow (2023–2025) and has presented his work at academic conferences.

Before academia, he practiced intellectual property litigation in the private sector, enriching his academic perspective with real-world experience. His publications appear in prestigious law journals, addressing legal challenges posed by emerging technologies.
