Michael Goldberg is a Professor and Department Head in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cincinnati. His research focuses on Fourier analysis and partial differential equations, particularly linear dispersive estimates for equations like the Schrödinger, wave, and Dirac equations under short-range potentials. He has led the 14th Ohio River Analysis Meeting in 2025 and collaborates extensively with researchers like M. B. Erdogan and W. Green. His work is supported by the Simons Foundation (Grant #635369).
Education: AB in Mathematics from Princeton University (1997), PhD in Mathematics from University of California, Berkeley (2002).
Teaching includes advanced courses like Math 6003 (Abstract Linear Algebra), Math 6007 (PDEs and Fourier Analysis), and foundational calculus courses. His research outputs span over 30 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as J. Funct. Anal., Comm. Math. Phys., and Indiana Univ. Math. J..
Grants: Simons Foundation (2021–present).
Lab/Team: Coordinates the Ohio River Analysis Meetings and actively contributes to mathematical analysis through collaborative projects.
