Michael Fay is an Adjunct Professor at the Ric Edelman College of Communication & Creative Arts, Rowan University. His career bridges academia and esports, with expertise in psychology, media theory, and gaming communities. He transitioned from experimental psychology research (e.g., nicotine-induced amotivation) to sports psychology and esports, serving as a content creator, caster, and analyst in Overwatch. He collaborated with Blizzard Entertainment, Microsoft, Discord, and ESL, and led production for Competitive Overwatch League broadcasts.
- Education: B.A. in Psychology from Saint Michael's College; M.A. in Emergent Media (Critical Media Theory & Community Building) from Champlain College.

His graduate thesis, Authenticating: Genuine Expression in the Management of Video Game Communities, explores community-building strategies in the gaming industry.
