Michael F. Salamone is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of Graduate Studies at the School of Politics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs, Washington State University. His research focuses on the American judiciary, particularly how courts interact with political forces and public perception. He holds a PhD from UC Berkeley (2011) and a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (Political Science and Economics).
Research emphasizes media coverage of Supreme Court decisions and public reactions, culminating in his book *Perceptions of a Polarized Court* (Temple University Press). Teaching includes judicial process, American government, constitutional law, and research methods.
